9th SONA of Pres. Arroyo
In the 27th day of July at exactly 3:45 pm, we heard and saw the 2009 SONA State of the Nations Address of President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo for the 2009-2010. This would be her last and final SONA before leaving her presidency in the government. This is the chance to critic about her tenure in the past years had brought up our country from poverty and corruption. This is the right to hear the president’s speech and judge if it realistic and sustainable.
The 2009 SONA of President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo in the year 2009-2010 was all about the clarifications of her numerous political issues that surround her. She also talked about Political reforms, Philippine Balance Budget and the National Budget and Management (this is the highlights I think on her 2009 SONA), Education for All(this for the out-of school- youth program), Automated Election (for fast work, less time and security of the said Election 2010). The 2009 SONA State of the Nations Address of President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo was really a hot issue in the Congress and in the Senate because everybody was looking forward on her decision if she will end her presidency or lengthen time of power in the History of the Philippine Government.
The 2009 SONA of President Arroyo also conveys and highlights many achievements and accomplishments during her administration as well as the status of the government programs in the country since her first year of seat as a President of the Philippine Government. She may also clarify and discuss some political issues and reforms that have a big impact to her governance. As what I have stated that she is still our president or shall I say and maybe forever our president because she has the power to command and do things in the other way around, anytime she can declare “ Martial Law” in order to lengthens her presidency and rule our government back to her hands. The SONA 2009 of President Gloria Arroyo was merely about the National Budget for the 2009. But Budget Secretary Rolando Abaya said that they have not finalized the national budget for 2009 yet and cannot meet the deadline for budget proposal submission to Congress until next month. On the other side, if we will compare with the past years SONA, we must now expect a lot of mass rallies and protest across the country as Mrs. Arroyo delivers her SONA 2009.
But still all of us were still looking forward of what would happen in our country after the 2009 SONA of President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo. Although the SONA of President Gloria Arroyo was successful many of the Filipino people are still arguing and not convinced on what she said and stated because on the issue and as what the Filipino people will expect after speech delivery. What will happen in our country after the 2009 SONA? If this would be her final and last SONA? Or there will be another one.
